I hope you have had the pleasure to experience Chaminade in the past, but if not, please let me take a moment to share with you a little about our property. Our grounds are perched on a hilltop overlooking all of Santa Cruz and the expansive Monterey Bay. We are surrounded by miles of redwood and eucalyptus forest, and our views encompass rolling hills, the sparkling bay, and the Monterey peninsula in the distance. In Santa Cruz we experience 300 days per year of beautiful, sunny skies and balmy temperatures. Our lovely, Mission-style resort and Spa are the perfect setting for a dream getaway wedding, as well as a weekend retreat for your family and friends, with many opportunities for fitness & relaxation.

Our dinner timeframe usually begins with a 5:00pm ceremony on our spectacular outdoor Courtyard Terrace. Reminiscent of a Spanish courtyard, with planters brimming with lavender & ornamental grasses, it has a central fountain around which your guests can gather. The dinner and dancing would take place in the Santa Cruz Ballroom, which has a beautiful view of the ocean and the wooded valley, as well as a private balcony for your guests' enjoyment. Your DJ or band is welcome in the Ballroom with a high, arched ceiling ideal for acoustics and a generous timeframe that extends until midnight! A minimum of 150 guests/packages is requested to secure these spaces and will accommodate up to 250. Our other outdoor wedding site for smaller groups is the Sunset Patio which encompasses the same stunning view of the bay as the courtyard with dining and dancing in the Seascape Room with a capacity of 90 guests with DJ and dance floor. The Sunset Room is another space that is sometimes available and has a minimum of 125 and can accommodate up to 200 guests.

Currently, we have three wedding packages: the Sunset by the Bay package is $114.00 per person, A Taste of California at $124.00 per person and the Fleur de Lys at $154.00. (Discounts are available for Friday evenings, Saturday lunch timeframe, Sundays and non-peak Saturday evenings and minimum capacities are lowered for these days as well!). Our packages provide you with an incredible value, as they include many services and fees that other properties add on as additional charges. In addition to the hors d'oeuvres, sit-down or buffet-style meal, and deluxe wedding cake, our package rate also includes site rental fees for the ceremony & reception facilities, professional coordination services, and many other items detailed for you on our website. All you need to add to the package price are beverages, tax & service charges. Beverage costs vary depending upon wine quality, if you offer hosted cocktails, and the like. We typically average $27-$35++ per person for moderately-priced wine, champagne, beer & non-alcoholic beverages (cocktails additional). Our goal is to provide you with honest and straightforward pricing with no "nickel and dimming," in addition to our elegant facility, sumptuous cuisine and personal, attentive service.
